Flag Case with Drawers

This was a custom flag case created for a burial flag, along with two drawers in the stand for storing articles, medals, and various other items of significance.  The top flag case is curly maple with purple heart splines.  The drawer case is walnut that had some nice figure to it.  The drawer cases were poplar with curly birdseye zebrawood veneer on the front with walnut drawer bottoms.  The drawer case was dovetailed, and the drawers were dovetailed with half blind dovetails for the drawer front. Finish was danish oil and shellac, buffed with finishing wax.
