Collection: Wood Bowls

Traditional bowls - These are turned from bowl blanks cut from logs or thick lumber, and have a flat clean top rim.

Live/Natural edge bowls - These are turned from blanks where the top rim of the bowl is the natural outside of the log the blank was cut from. The top rim of the bowl will follow the contours of the log, and result in an organic and natural form.  A live edge bowl will have the bark still included on the edge, and a natural edge bowl will have the bark removed.

Segmented bowls - These are turned from blanks made from gluing up other smaller pieces (called segments) in to rings, which are stacked to form the bowl blank.  Segment glue ups can often form a pattern once the final bowl is turned, opening an aesthetic door that would otherwise not be available with traditional single piece bowl blanks.
